One year tribute to Michael Jackson

Posted on 8:35 PM by Unknown
-
I had just left Concordia University--- yes, this time last year I WAS in Montreal contrary to the lies of those Quebecois border patrol cunts ---and was walking pass a coffee shop when I saw footage of the Jackson 5 looping amidst commentary from Cher on Larry King Live. I thought to myself, Why is there 2009 beside Michael Jackson's birth year? Then the back of my neck chilled and my head tingled: No! Michael Jackson can't be dead...? I pressed closer to the glass and followed the closed caption; and Larry King reiterated the unbelievable fact: Michael Jackson--is--dead.

Wow, it has been a whole year since his passing. It's hard to believe it's been that long...and it's almost as hard to believe he is gone.

I slept in MGM Grand last night

Posted on 7:39 AM by Unknown
-
Last night my bed
was not a park bench
or a subway going to and fro
but, by reversal of fortune,
a plush hotel casino

I slept the sleep of a happy man
I slept the sleep of choice
& in my blessed state of Up
from Down is something
I just have to rejoice

The pillows were soft
the bedding was pillowy
my stress & anger, gone!
But when will strike next
my reversal of fortune
to reclaim me from Up
to Down?

See something, say something? Hogwash!

Posted on 6:26 PM by Unknown

I saw something in the New York Port Authority and went to say something to a passing uniformed cop. The pig dismissed me at "Excuse me ---" and told me the Information booth was back there. He didn't even stop walking.
Terrorists aren't taking aim at NYC because it's the center of the universe. They're trying to blow it up because it's full of New Yorkers
That's NYC for you. Everyone is too busy and important to be bothered. When they don't have their heads up their own odor-free asses they're trying to move on up by kissing someone else's. My suspicions turned out to be innocuous but that doesn't take away from the fact the pig arrogantly disregarded me on sight rather than investigate. Terrorists aren't taking aim at NYC because it's the center of the universe. They're trying to blow it up because it's full of New Yorkers.

See something, say something amounts to nothing when the authorities don't do something...until it's too late. And then the media call them "heroes".

I slept in Central Park last night

Posted on 5:24 AM by Unknown

How broke am I?
I'll say it straight
I slept in Central Park last night

The air was mild
the weather smooth
same can't be said for the bench's grooves

Awoke within an hour
from joggers and mosquito bites
so much for my sleep in the Park last night

Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.

RULES OF TRAVEL

Posted on 12:33 PM by Unknown
NEW RULE:

A black man should not travel to foreign countries via any means other than air or sea; even rail travel gives the authorities a chance to remove you from the train. However, land travel within the territory is understandable.

It's a gorgeous, bright day at Cornell University. The Sun feels nice and warm. How do I know this? Because I'm here instead of writing from Berlin, Germany.

Barred from entering Canada by racist border pigs

Posted on 9:13 PM by Unknown
-
Stuck at the Canuck border -- yet again.

Every time, no matter the point of entry - Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Quebec  - Canadian assholes question me for loooong times at Immigration. They never just pass me through. I have to always get processed through Immigration.

Last night, racist Quebecois border control along New York state barred me from passing because, get this, I was in a fist fight ten years ago and have no court document to show for it. Never mind this incident does not show up on their data search they pressed me until I admitted to, yes, having been arrested before. Why insist on asking this question to the only black person in the line? A black man has to carry his jail papers with him like a freed slave in order to authenticate to the world that he is no longer a threat, Massa! I admitted it because I took it for a trick question, presuming they already had the information and were hoping I would lie. Now that I think about it: that's entrapment! That un-outstanding incident happened ten, twenty years ago and I'm not about to carry around papers to vouch for my freedom.
Why insist on asking this [jail]question to the only black person in the line?
Aside from being cowards like their French counterparts, Canadians can be just as racist as any one else. The Quebecois border patrol actually said, You have to carry them [court papers] if you don't want this hassle. I have been travelling to and through Canada for years and, before this year, haven't been grilled on arrest matters. I wish I knew then what I know now: no such arrest history appears in the database; the agents are being coached to SUSPECT ALL BLACK NIGGERS HAVE A PAST.

This Canuck bitch (it was a woman) didn't ask about college degree, but freed papers; didn't ask for a summary of things I've written, but freed papers; nothing outside of the mundane (where were you born? occupation? how long will you visit? purpose of your visit?), but freed papers. Why? Because she has an agenda: How can my black ass go to Europe and not her? You see, I was only travelling to Montreal in order to catch my flight to Germany -- not to spend money and visit Canuck tourist sights or, worse, try to sneak in and live there -- and this got to her. And she, along with her fellow black bitch officer (I never claimed all racism stems from white people), succeeded in barring me from the country forever because, as they told me, arrest is the same as conviction (note: I was never convicted of anything) and therefore "I am a threat to Canada."
A black man is a threat to Canada
Right. I was the only black person on the bus. And despite showing proof of my travel to exit the country I, being the only black person, was the only one grilled about arrest history, and the only person removed from the bus and "allowed" to return to the American side whilst everyone else continued on to Montreal, including white travellers who could not produce evidence of a return ticket or ticket to a third country. This was racist discrimination. Again. And I hate Canada for it.

Q:
WHAT'S RED & WHITE ALL OVER AND RACIST AT EVERY BORDER?

A:

it's no riddle to this but it's a big wonder that
a "dangerous" threat to Canuckistan's borders
is a young man who is black
(period omitted because there's more to come)

Why "Pussy" tops "Super Beeeaatch"

Posted on 11:07 AM by Unknown

The class of travel ain't what it used to be...same goes for travellers. I sat in front of a woman on the Greyhound bus who reminded me, in no subtle terms, that she had a...well, let's just say, a pushy pussy.

I'm not making this stuff up.

Asus help hotline is "out of service"

Posted on 3:35 PM by Unknown
-
The Asus hotline number is BOGUUUUS. Asus just recently set it up and, after finding out about it yesterday, I dialed the number this morning only to be informed by the operator "The number you dialed is no longer in service. Please check the number and dial again. (pause) The number you dialed is no longer in service...." So much for that customer service...Taiwan.

With little recourse left to me I broke down and bought a brand new external DVD-ROM drive. Was hoping to find an off-duty Geek Squad around campus or, barring that, an external drive on the cheap via Craigslist or something. No dice. Yours truly was left to his own devices. Actually found it cheaper in the college store than Staples or K-Mart. The restoration was easy and successful. So:
GOOD NEWS = my netbook is back in business.
BAD NEWS = recovery failed; the repair wiped out the stuff stored on the harddrive and desktop.

But, hey, I dare not complain----much. Thank goodness I'd already emailed the MS. to myself! C'est la vie.

To revive my down Asus

Posted on 2:09 PM by Unknown
-
Since my Asus netbook conked out over a week ago I've had a hard time in getting it back up and working. The computer manual isn't very helpful, the users forum on the company website is somewhat encouraging but the support DVD that came with my midget computer is less than helpful so since the computer hasn't any disc drive. Minor oversight by the publishers...or sick humor?

Just now I came across "NEW ASUS HOTLINE NUMBERS" on HypergearMagazine.com.Will have to wait until the weekday to call them. Fingers crossed.

Springtime in Ithaca (New York)

Posted on 1:02 PM by Unknown
-
I've spent a week at Cornell University and no one has jumped to his death.

Getting to the campus is a workout as it's built on a hill, but the whole city is hilly and more hills still reach beyond the campus. I tried getting there on my friend's mountain bike but, whew!, talk about not worth the effort! Minus a car, it's much, much easier just walking it (though riding downhill cuts the time in more than half). The famous landscape is a little harder to enjoy now that the school has put up wire fencing along every bridge and inspiring suicide point.

The university's Herbert F Johnson Museum of Art is really quite posh. Like most modern art museums the building, itself, stands out to the tune of juxtaposition. You can almost hear it lilting,
Notice me! I'm juxtaposing! Inside I looked long upon a Monet painting, a collection of Tiffany objects, two Frank Lloyd Wright windows (from the Martin House); and "functional" art pieces like
teapots, coffeepots, ash trays, eating utensils, living room furniture, cuff links from the Arts & Craft, Art Nouveau, and Aesthetic Movements which all came into force about the same time in various parts of the world. This exhibit is aptly titled "Sublime".

The other exhibit I really dug is "Bodies Unbound: The Classical and Grotesque"which included the below photos Lewis Hine's Steamfitter and Horst P Horst's Mainbocher Corset as well as a hands-on Mr Potato Head toy and Picasso's Minotaur Attacking an Amazon which depicts a muscular minotaur screwing a woman.
