Cheaper to fly to Rome than Vancouver

Was hoping to see Vancouver during this visit to Canada...but travel to western Canada is a bitch---a very expensive one. Tripping to Vancouver from, say, Ontario or Quebec is more costly than flying to Germany or Brussels or France. So who in the world would go to British Columbia when he could fly to Europe? Hello! Not me.

Even the cost of travelling via Greyhound was comparable to an international flight. Now that's just Canadian krazy!!
